::Back from Baybeats II
Listening to the tempered mental cd now, kinda reminds me of a mix of DAI and Love Psychedelic for some reason.
So let's see.
Today was last day of Baybeats 2005. I said in my previous post that I was going back for more, and I did. Got there around 7, left at 10 something - 11. So today,
1) The arena was LOUD. Louder than yesterday. Not just the arena. The outdoor thatre too. I'm still feeling a bit deaf now.
2) The crowd was different from yesterday, yesterday a lot of subculture subculture people, today looked like the clubbing crowd came. Probably supporting Electrico, I think.
3) The atmosphere was considerably less high than yesterday (not counting Electrico the great, and Concave Scream which gave an encore). Yesterday, the mosh pit was like \m/ \m/ \m/ shoe shoe \m/ \m/ etc and one of the voxers kept saying something about please, no body surfing but I couldn't see if it was really happening. Today everyone just stood there it seemed. Okay, maybe not everybody, but fewer \m/ s today. And no one on the dustbins.
4) KLPHQ was nice, but don't think they had cd for sale. Ended up buying the cd of this band called tempered mental. The girl (vox+bass) is pretty good.
5) Electrico's last song was something about 'We're not made in the USA' or something like that. There's a story behind it: Some girl heard an Electrico song in HMV and liked it so much she bought the cd. Later, she found out that Electrico was a local band so she returned the cd. Like what the hell, music is music wherever it's from. Anyway, this lucky girl has an entire song dedicated to her. Wow.
6) Everyone who asked us to contact them if we went Baybeats did a no show. These include Addie, Muthu and my sister's friend. So me and my sis watched it together. Like, duh.
7) The merchandise place was quite empty, of stuff and of people, especially the Baybeats t-shirt one. There was like almost nothing and the people were just sitting around like um, this booth is supposed to be open so...
Today's spoils:
1) Honestly cd by tempered mental
2) That's all.
