::Practical Lesson 3 no. 2

Wow, I think this is going to become a SATan's Disastrous Bike Lessons blog.

Well anyway, had my second practical lesson 3.
It went.... ok?
The narrow plank was good, as expected.
The slalom was surprisingly good.
(The key to doing it is to target fixate at the correct thing. Look where you're going, not at the cones. I know it's difficult but..... hey, I only just realised it this practical!)
Emergency stop went well the first time.
Emergency stop went well the second time.
Wah good, this time sure can pass.
And then... and then.... I had my biggest crash ever while doing emergency stop.
I started as usual, and started to kick up the gears.
Kick, gear 2. Kick, kick, kick *why won't the fucking gear budge? Now there's not enough space left to accelerate enough! Help!*
*panics but decides to give it as much throttle as I can and continue, unfortunately my thoughts are already messed up, somehow ends up locking brakes in panic, skids, does the wonderful fly off bike thing, like whee! with all the practical 3 people watching.*
Gyarrrrrr.
"Confirm fail la." I confess to the instructor.

Well so... after lesson, wo get our feedback and whether we passed or not from the instructors...
Instructor gave out everyone's record book. Some had to repeat. The two guys in front of me both passed.
Mine was the last book.
And he went, "Do you know why I have to leave yours to the last?"
I was like "Suspense?"
Well, turns out it's cause he passed me, but everyone saw my wonderful crash on the emergency stop course, so they might complain that he was biased.
But cause my overall performance was good (and it was a freak accident), I was still allowed to pass.

Status: Passed. On to lesson 4 part 1.
(part 1 is simulator training. Like arcade! Whee!)
TWO TIMES!!!!! THIS IS A BLOODY RECORD DAMNIT!!!! ^^
*claps and cheers*

~*~

Oh, btw
after I crashed, I realised:
If someone crashes badly enough to get a fright,
isn't injured,
can still talk and laugh,
says she's ok,
thinks she's ok,

she's still not ok enough to continue riding.

When I got back on the bike, I realised that for the whole way back, I was still in a mild state of shock and didn't check anything at all.
I wasn't even aware of traffic at all.
Shock can rob you of proper judgement.
It was ok because it was in the circuit and the instructor was leading us.
But it would have been fucking dangerous if I was on the road and alone.

I'd think I'd probably stop somewhere safe, and sit down and rest awhile until I was calmer before continuing.
I hope I never need to do this though.
