::There are days, and there are flag days.

Your Dominant Thinking Style:

Exploring

You thrive on the unknown and unpredictable. Novelty is your middle name.
You are a challenger. You tend to challenge common assumptions and beliefs.

An expert inventor and problem solver, you approach everything from new angles.
You show people how to question their models of the world.

Your Secondary Thinking Style:

Modifying

Super logical and rational, you consider every fact available to you.
You don't make rash decisions and are rarely moved by emotion.

You prefer what's known and proven - to the new and untested.
You tend to ground those around you and add stability.

Well, is this contradicting or what.

Anyway, today's Flag Day: I topped my class by collecting $78.45/$78.54, I can't remember which one.
The person after me got $20-something.
I guess the most I can win is a food voucher. Not that I care about what I can win anyway, come on, it's for charity.
Thank you everyone for your support.

In the end, it boils down to your attitude. If you don't give people a black face if they don't donate and still treat them as politely as you treat those who donate, some of them will actually come back and donate money to you. If people feel you have a good attitude, they will be more likely to help you.
Even if somebody doesn't donate, it doesn't make him any less of a person. Nobody is obliged to make a donation. Those that do are actually doing you a favour.
If more people realised that, we would stop hearing complaints about flag day volunteers being rude to people.
But of course, there are also people who are rude to the flag day volunteers.
Argh, everyone stop being rude to each other and try to see things from each others point of view lah.
