::Blogthings again.

Your Hidden Talent
You have the natural talent of rocking the boat, thwarting the system.
And while this may not seem big, it can be.
It's people like you who serve as the catalysts to major cultural changes.
You're just a bit behind the scenes, so no one really notices.

How You Life Your Life

You seem to be straight forward, but you keep a lot inside.

You're laid back and chill, but sometimes you care too much about what others think.

You prefer a variety of friends and tend to change friends quickly.

You tend to dream big, but you worry that your dreams aren't attainable.

You Are A Chestnut Tree

You are a born diplomat with a well developed sense of justice.

And even though you're impressive and intimidating, you're also fun to be around.

You can be irritated easily, and you sometimes act superior.

Nevertheless, you are sensitive of others feelings and very loyal.

Sometimes you feel misunderstood and are fiercely close to those who know you best.

You Should Learn Chinese

Surprised? You shouldn't be - Chinese is perfect for an ambitious person like you.
You're a natural entrepreneur, and a billion people are waiting to do business with you!

Mmmm thanks man. This has solved my problem of finding out what new language to learn....yeah right!

::Gear Update

My Haro got new yellow brakepads. Mmm yellow.

My cheapo MTB has new fenders and now it looks like a motorcycle. No more mud spots ahahaha.

Am eyeing a GT Avalanche 2.0. Dunno if I should buy it. But don't have spare cash right now. Damn.

Something seems to have screwed up with my tagboard. Use the comments, people.

::Fuck.

These things always happen to me.

Well, as some of you may know, I'm having my holiday now. Unfortunately it's ending, but that's not what this post is about...

Well, before holiday started, Math teacher said we have to go online to do this maths quiz that I think will be counted.

Well so I slacked all through the first few days of hols, then I thought this won't do, better go... study for test? Nope, more like do all the things I like doing but usually have not enough time to do properly.

So I rode bike more. And played guitar more. And had the best time of my life yeah. Anyway, my sis needed the computer for the whole of Thurs and Fri, so I thought let her use it, no harm done right?

So finally on Sat I'm like oops, rode bike so much, almost forgot I have a maths quiz to do yeah? So I log in and guess what

THE DEADLINE IS FUCKING OVER. wtf it ended on Friday.

So I got 0 for some test. Fuck you girl, you already ride bike all the time and then you miss your important test just to what? Ride bike again?

The things I will do for my bicycle. No comment yeah?

::Meet Movingbits

Aha. Our cycling/outing blog Movingbits is born.

Basically, it's just a blog where non-spandex non-fanatic noobie cyclists get together and plan outings. Also so that we can have another way to keep in touch with each other lah.
Anybody can go outing. Members are just special cause they get to post. Everyone else just use the comments.

If anyone wants to join as member, just sms me your email.
If you don't have bicycle, maybe we can lend you.
If you don't know how to cycle but want to join, maybe we can teach you.
Nothing up yet. Next outing probably next weekend (after my exams). Check back soon!

::What the hell.

My sister's cheapo orange shirt just leaked all over my baybeats t-shirt. I am as mad as hell.

Went shopping with mik on Sunday and got a bracelet, a leather thing with studs and some stickers for my guitar. Now my guitar has a rockshox (booiing!) sticker on the back and a fox sticker on the scratchplate.

It's my holiday now and after that I got exams. Hurray.

My brake cable is giving out (again?!) and my headlights are becoming dimmer. How sad.

::Short one

I've found some employment for my leather jacket. It's going to keep me warm at school. And to hell with everyone who thinks it's weird. It's not your fucking jacket. Thank you.

Am in the process of organising my postcard collection. Current count is 215, with 2 boxes more to go.

::Just another day in the life of...

I raised my bike's seat again. Now no one can use it as a chair anymore. My seat has just taken another small step towards the sky.

Hmmm, what else shall I post today huh?

::Adventures of the sleep-deprived

Anyway, it all started when I overslept in the morning and so I didn't have time to bring my bike down. So I got out my baby girl and picked around with her a bit and then it was time for school.

So I got to the bus stop. And ran after the wrong bus. Luckily I found out just as I got to the door. Damn. Finally I got on the right bus. And as usual, I fell asleep. When I woke up, I was at Fairfield Methodist School.

wtf? I overshot!

So I crossed the road and took a bus back. And all would have been well except that I got off at the wrong stop. &$#%$#$^!!!!

And I was late, like duh.

Anyway, I think one of my teachers thinks I'm a pussy. Cause she was correcting my work and told me to do part of it again, and I was like "okay, fine." in the way that I always do, like cause she asked me to do something and I'm going to do it right? Well, I think she thought I was pissed cause then she said stuff like "I'm not correcting your language, you can write quite well, I just want u to make some adjustments..." or something like that. So now she thinks I'm a pussy.

These trained in communtication kind of people never know what to do with me cause I never respond according to the books. But well, I never read the books. Of course I don't know.

::Assorted thoughts with extra gravy.

1) Someone in my class likes Rhapsody! 0_o Thought I'd never find anyone who would like something like that. Wooh. Fucking amazing. Finally found someone who dun just like mainstream pop music.
Which is great cuz I'm the kind of person with diverse (and I mean diverse) musical tastes and I'm always listening to stuff no one has ever heard of.

2) Don't just support those big angmoh bands lah, people. If you look a little closer to home, the stuff here is pretty good too.

3) Ah, an open invitation to youse peoples: I'm thinking of starting a cycling blog where we can plan and post cycling trips, reports on past trips, etc so it'll be easier to find people to cycle with. I'm trying to get as many people to join as possible so it's okay if you don't know everybody. If you're interested, drop me an sms (with contact info if I don't have it already). Just let me know you're interested and I'll get back to you.

4) Extra gravy.

::Back from Baybeats II

Listening to the tempered mental cd now, kinda reminds me of a mix of DAI and Love Psychedelic for some reason.

So let's see.

Today was last day of Baybeats 2005. I said in my previous post that I was going back for more, and I did. Got there around 7, left at 10 something - 11. So today,

1) The arena was LOUD. Louder than yesterday. Not just the arena. The outdoor thatre too. I'm still feeling a bit deaf now.

2) The crowd was different from yesterday, yesterday a lot of subculture subculture people, today looked like the clubbing crowd came. Probably supporting Electrico, I think.

3) The atmosphere was considerably less high than yesterday (not counting Electrico the great, and Concave Scream which gave an encore). Yesterday, the mosh pit was like \m/ \m/ \m/ shoe shoe \m/ \m/ etc and one of the voxers kept saying something about please, no body surfing but I couldn't see if it was really happening. Today everyone just stood there it seemed. Okay, maybe not everybody, but fewer \m/ s today. And no one on the dustbins.

4) KLPHQ was nice, but don't think they had cd for sale. Ended up buying the cd of this band called tempered mental. The girl (vox+bass) is pretty good.

5) Electrico's last song was something about 'We're not made in the USA' or something like that. There's a story behind it: Some girl heard an Electrico song in HMV and liked it so much she bought the cd. Later, she found out that Electrico was a local band so she returned the cd. Like what the hell, music is music wherever it's from. Anyway, this lucky girl has an entire song dedicated to her. Wow.

6) Everyone who asked us to contact them if we went Baybeats did a no show. These include Addie, Muthu and my sister's friend. So me and my sis watched it together. Like, duh.

7) The merchandise place was quite empty, of stuff and of people, especially the Baybeats t-shirt one. There was like almost nothing and the people were just sitting around like um, this booth is supposed to be open so...

Today's spoils:
1) Honestly cd by tempered mental

2) That's all.

::Back from Baybeats

Just back from Baybeats 2nd day.

Went with my sis and her rock music hating friend, whom I chatted to on the internet before. Had dinner at Raffles city, then headed down to the Esplanade around 7. Later, we were joined by another of my sister's friends, some guy who likes live music.

Interesting events (not in order, cause I can't remember what order):
1) I cut my finger. Cause I was standing with my sis's friend at the back of the outdoor theatre and I wanted to point something in the outdoor theatre out to her so I stuck my finger into the grilles. (If you've seen the grilles there up close, you'll know that it's made of these interlocking metal pieces.) Then, I found out that they were sharp. And I bled. Ouch.
So children, don't stick any part of your body into the grilles at the outdoor theatre. These things can bite.

2) The story behind my Baybeats t-shirt. I went to get a Baybeats 2005 pack (includes t-shirt). So the guy tells me, only got M and L size left. So I say okay, give me M. Then, he searches around and says, sorry, now only got L. So I buy the 2004 one, no choice.
Well later, I comes back and asks, do you have new stock tomorrow? And they tell me no, really sold out. Then I saw this postcard. So I pick it up to take a look. And the girl there pushes me the postcard, a flyer and a sticker. So I'm like um, is this free? She says yes. So now I got postcard for my collection. Yay.
Later, on the taxi home, I find out that, the pack includes an already broken glowstick. Then I'm like, shit, we should have waved it. Damn.

3) My sis's rock music hating friend left early, cause she tired and she don't like rock music that much. Duh.

4) Some guy was standing on a dustbin. Sis kept telling me stuff like what if the lid gives way. Anyway, the lid was all caved in and stuff. But it didn't give way. So no show.

5) Half way, we had fireworks!! NDP rehearsal or what. Anyway, it was damn close. And damn nice. Unfortunately, I had no camera. So no pics. Live with it, people.

We left around 10.40 - 11. I'm going back for more tomorrow.

Today's spoils:
1) Baybeats 2004 pack (Baybeats 2004 t-shirt, unidentified green parachutist man thing (if you see it you will know what I mean), earplugs, broken blue glowstick, exitmusik.com sticker, green badge)

2) Plush cd and neomedicus cd, for the price of $6!! Wow!!
The packing of the neomedicus one is kinda cheapo, but the music is nice lah.

3) Poptart postcard and wakemeup music sticker and flyer

::Power the free spirit!

Well, here's something I could consider: fx bikes - damn cool motorised bikes

Anyway, went cycling after the rain. Kept out of the puddles at first, then I saw a really big one. Hmmm, take too much trouble to keep out of it (don't forget SATan is damn lazy). Traffic moving pretty fast so don't want to change position unnecessarily. Anyway (this is the real reason!), haven't had a really big SPLASH! in a long time. So rode through it, and then through all the puddles the rest of the way. Ended up going into a pothole when I was turning in onto the pavement near my house. %@$&%^!!!! Really got a big shock, man.

Anyway, my shirt was like wonderful afterwards. Ma was surprisingly understanding. Maybe I should get some fenders?

I'm going to Baybeats tomorrow. Anyone else also going tomorrow can sms me maybe?

::A lesson in road safety.

::Nice!!!

Indulge me a little. Let me post some stuff absolutely no one here is interested in (some people will have realised by now that this is a thinly disguised attempt to make some post when I have nothing to post about)

Klein - beautiful, these things. See to believe. (Check out the custom paintwork!)

Pinarello Dogma FP - Ooo! Magnesium!

My bike (the one u guys have seen) Ha. Ha. Ha.

Yeah anyway, the maths project is kind of done. DONE. (Nah, the deadline is this week thursday, not last week thursday) One down, 4 (?) more to go.

::Quiz

Sociopath
You are 57% Rational, 14% Extroverted, 85% Brutal, and 85% Arrogant.

You are the Sociopath! As a result of your cold, calculating
rationality, your introversion (and ability to keep quiet), your
brutality, and your arrogance, you would make a very cunning serial
killer. You care very little for the feelings of others, possibly
because you are not a very emotional person. You are also very
calculating and intelligent, making you a perfect criminal mastermind.
Also, you are a very arrogant person, tending to see yourself as better
than others, providing you a strong ability to perceive others as weak
little animals, thus making it easier to kill them. In short, your
personality defect is the fact that you could easily be a sociopath,
because you are calculating, unemotional, brutal, and arrogant. Please
don't kill me for writing mean things about you!

To put it less negatively:

1. You are more RATIONAL than intuitive.

2. You are more INTROVERTED than extroverted.

3. You are more BRUTAL than gentle.

4. You are more ARROGANT than humble.

Compatibility:

Your exact opposite is the Hippie.

Other personalities you would probably get along with are the Spiteful Loner, the Smartass, and the Capitalist Pig.

*

*

If you scored near fifty percent for a certain trait (42%-58%), you
could very well go either way. For example, someone with 42%
Extroversion is slightly leaning towards being an introvert, but is
close enough to being an extrovert to be classified that way as well.
Below is a list of the other personality types so that you can
determine which other possible categories you may fill if you scored
near fifty percent for certain traits.

The other personality types:

The Emo Kid: Intuitive, Introverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Starving Artist: Intuitive, Introverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Bitch-Slap: Intuitive, Introverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Brute: Intuitive, Introverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

The Hippie: Intuitive, Extroverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Televangelist: Intuitive, Extroverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Schoolyard Bully: Intuitive, Extroverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Class Clown: Intuitive, Extroverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

The Robot: Rational, Introverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Haughty Intellectual: Rational, Introverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Spiteful Loner: Rational, Introverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Sociopath: Rational, Introverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

The Hand-Raiser: Rational, Extroverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Braggart: Rational, Extroverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Capitalist Pig: Rational, Extroverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Smartass: Rational, Extroverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

::Rivet heads.

Going cycling tomorrow with cycling kaki Gwen. Everyone else somehow ran away. Bikes and prata. Nutritious.

I think I'm probably the only person who plans cycling trips around food. Wait, there's NUS bike to bite. I'm not the only one. Ha. Ha.

Well anyway, my poor bike, his front brake spoiled. The rivet came loose. So I rode it to the bike shop to see if there was anything they could do about it cause obviously I can't tighten it right? And they said nah, you just pull out the rivet and tie the parts together with something.

Wah lau eh, that I also can think of. So I went home and had a nap. Many events (such as dinner, unsuccessful attempts to do homework) later, just before I was going to bed, I pulled out the rivet with a pair of pliers and went around looking for something to tie it together with. And I found (ta-daah!) a cable tie (the skinny skinny kind, not the kind I have hanging from my pencilbox). So I tied the parts together with the cable tie. Unfortunately, the brakes seemed to be a bit at a funny angle (it's hard to describe here what I mean but if you see it, you will understand). So I thought, should I adjust it huh? Better test the brakes first. So I tested them and there seemed to be no problem, yeah the bike can stop, so shouldn't be a problem. So I just ignored it. Hopefully it won't cock up.

All will be revealed tomorrow. Anyway, if it does cock up, I can use my other bike. Anyway, I know the location of most bike shops within the area.

See, SATan's bike has turned into a junk heap (assuming that it wasn't a junk heap in the first place). But that's cause SATan is stingy. Ahahahahaha.

::Not good.

Ok, the inevitable happened. After working on my com until 5 last night, I developed a splitting headache during my second lesson of the day. Thought I could carry on awhile longer but then, my head gave out halfway through the day and started whining at me to get some sleep. And I thought, well, since its supposed to be Youth Day, might just as well pon the remaining lessons. So I did.

And my maths project is due on Thurs and we haven't even got the main part of it done yet. Blah.

::And the pressure begins.

Really starting to get damn busy. All my projects are coming at the same time.

Sooner or later, I'll have to sleep 2 hours a day on a pile of crumpled paper with nothing but a computer for company. (Wait, scratch that, I already sleep 2 hours a day)
